Perched on the stairway railing of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic Batu Caves, a monkey pauses — not to beg, not to flee, but simply to be. In “The Temple Climber”, nature and humanity converge for a fleeting second, as one of the city's untamed residents balances on a path worn by pilgrims.

The bold colours of the staircase, the symmetry of the banister, and the soft curiosity in the monkey’s posture combine to create a moment that is both playful and reverent. This image speaks to the coexistence of chaos and calm — a wild soul in a sacred place.

Printed to museum standards and available in both open and signed limited editions, “The Temple Climber” offers a vibrant glimpse into urban wildlife and the quiet spaces where the natural world still lingers.
